Hi -

Thanks for your kind note. I think because I've just gone through it and received such amazing support from this group, I want to have those ladies feel the same level of support, I just felt so thankful to keep receiving those notes.

My recovery is not going so well, I had some pretty bad cramping Saurday and last night, I put in a call to Dr. Isaacson today, the Motrin prescription is not doing the trick and the percocet really screws up my digestive system. You can't win, you know? I am just so frustrated because I want this to be over and now I am worried there is something left behind that will need additional surgery ( a thought that's been on my mind for a week now).

We'll see what Dr. I says today, I hope that this is over soon, it will be 2 weeks this Wednesday since my d & c. My next steps are to hopefully get my period in a month, wait for the next one after that, and have a hysteroscopy to check for scarring, then ttc again. Even though I have been through 3 of these, I still have hope that we'll be able to have a baby, and I want to get trying as soon as possible. (sex? what's that?:)-looking forward to that part of my life being phased back in!)

I'm glad to hear that you are doing well also, .

D.

Hi ,

I read your post regarding your concern about something being left

behind. This happened to me after a D & C for a missed miscarriage.

It was discovered through HCG testing as a follow-up to the D & C.

Did you have any blood work done? Your HCG should be returning close

to zero if everything is gone. Perhaps you could request this, or

also an u/s to make sure. All of us in this group have learned to be

so careful (paranoid!?!) that I was just hoping to be able to help

find some answers. You have been through so much already. Hoping by

the time you read this that you're feeling much better.

Take care,

Vicki

,

I'm sad to hear that your recovery is not going so well and that you

are cramping. Why does it seem like some of us can't catch a break?

I mean, is it asking too much for ONE LITTLE THING to go well?? I

feel for you and all I can say is that it completely sucks. Is

it possible that this is still the lining that is being shed? If

there is anything retained, I pray that you pass it soon so that you

can move on.

Still thinking of you...let us know when there is more news.

Haley

Hi ,

Congratulations on getting your period!! A message that only AS ladies would send!!

Well, after quite a few problems, my final hyst seems to have done the trick and I have a regular normal period for the first time in years!

The first after the op is normally quite heavy, so its the next that will really tell a tale. Mine was very heavy for my first, but now I am normal and regular as clockwork and its great!

I am just waiting for a series of cycle scans to see if my lining has increased to more than 5mm, and to see if I am ovulating normally- so fingers crossed.

When I wasnt having a period, I was having pains with a vengance that would really put me out of action - laid up in tears and there was no way I could drive anywhere. Now I have a regular period, I have a very mild pain that is controlled by regular paracetemol. The pain has completely gone, so I hope that it will with you too.

I also found that intercourse was very painful when I had no periods whatever time of the month. I am happy to say that now all is very comfortable! I dont know if that has been an issue for you, but it is certainly an added bonus for me now.

I wish you the very best of luck for Thursday - I will keep everything crossed for you, so please let us know your news.

I need to wait until the 16th for my scan, but hopefully we will both be celebrating soon!

Take care,

(UK)

C,

Congratulations on getting that period of yours. I can just imagine how happy you are. I think this means that you will need to update your profile with Ivana. Can you do that? Her email is: marigagg@... and let her know any changes from your previous profile after checking it.

Thanks and good luck on the 16th.
