Guest guest
For the record I am a Type 2. My Dr. has switched me from Metformin to Precose. But I am finding that the Precose is not doing its job. The reason for the switch, was that Metformin made my legs weak and I always felt like taking a nap. Both of these issues impacted on exercise and was becoming contrary to my push to lose weight and get off meds period. Like I told him, if its going to be like this, I'd rather go off meds now and exercise and diet like crazy. I have read in various drug info sections that some meds in combination with certain other drugs, can actually raise your BG or make it difficult to lower it. In my case I am also on Tiazac, which is a Calcium Channel Blocker, and which shows up in both Metformin and Precose's listings. I am wondering if anyone knows of this, and/or takes Tiazac with a Diabetic med with success? I'm getting frustrated.
