Do you have your levels checked regularly?

Yes, Once every 3 months. I have a standing order at the out patient lab at

my local hospital to have them done stat if I feel like my levels are too high.

I have a crazy reaction to Dilantian that most people do not. Levels should

hit a high and then stop. But my body, on occasion, stores up the Dilantian

and I get toxic. Pretty nasty ... like I am super drugged, cant really see and

walk very well. Weird and no one can explain it so I go with the flow.

My gum bleeding is pretty bad but the inflammation is relatively light. I

have seen pictures of Dilantian users... WOW! I did have to have my gums mowed

down once but that was really more for cosmetic than for dental reasons

although the pockets are larger in me of course so I have to be watched.

Speaking of teeth. All my life I just assumed that when you went to the

dentist pain was a normal part of it. I have NEVER gotten completely numb on

any

dental procedure. When I read about EDS and local anesthetic it hit me that I

was not supposed to be in pain. I asked my dentist and he said " you mean you

have never been completely numb and you have been hurting all this time? " I

told him yes and he was horrified. He said I had to be the best patient he

has ever had then! LOL!
