Ok..how lame is this? I had my IME done back on October 6th I believe

it was and they are just getting the report back this week??!??

Anyway, my case manager called me tonight and left me a message

telling me that the Dr agreed that I did have RSD type 1 which she

kept stressing this over and over again, so I looked it up..duh type

1 just says that no nerve injury is known, thats because they never

ran an EMG on me. It doesnt change the diagnosis or anything like

that but he feels that with aggressive PT and OT that I can be

maintained...now, how about telling me something I am not aware of

huh? Instead of denying me things how about doing what comes logical?

Anyway, she wants to discuss with me on Monday about returning to

work on a mod duty basis, kewl EXCEPT mod duty in my job is

ridiculous and will cause alot of pissy attitudes since no one

can " see " my injury and will assume that Im sucking things up! Mod

duty means answering lights for elderly people who have little to no

patience and will get up and do it themselves if not answered

immediately, great so now we have incident reports against me. I

absolutely refuse to take the blame for that at all! Also, I cant do

restraints so I can never return to my floor which really bums me out

as I miss my residents wah!

I'm hoping that they take me off the floors entirely as it will never

be something that I can improve on and eventually return to a normal

routine. Oh well, this will be something to discuss...they need to

live reality like I do.

Anyway, thats the scoop peeps.

Hugs

Donna

Donna,

I know how much you love your job, but please keep in mind that a moderate duty job must mean the same exact salary and they cannot force you to do things that you should not be doing. My lawyer went over this with me the first time I met her, because she said that all companies like to ignore the moderate or light duty work list and then people get severly injured again!! Please be very careful if you go back to work!!! Also make sure you get a copy of what you can and cannot do! I just do not want to see you get hurt worse and I worry about you! Take Care and LOL!

Donna,I'm always amazed at how a Dr. can see you for 1/2 hr and know more than your Drs. do about you.I'm sure it would be nice to get back to work.. but if you can't do what you need to... then what?I tell you, I am on Doctor Boycott and this is one of the reasons!!!!!Hugs,Jo
