Hi Ava!!!

Welcome to the group!!!!!! Obesityhelp.com is a good place to get

information for your area. It took me 3 months to find my Dr. get

approval and have surgery. I know some people were it has taken them

a year. Some people have to be on a 6 month diet, it is a requirement

of some insurance companies. I had surgey August of 2004 and I have

lost 125 lbs. I picture is on the message boards home page and I also

have a album in the photo section of the message board. I had very

little pain after surgery. People who do have pain mostly have it

because they have air trapped in their stonach cativy after surgery.

It takes a few days for it to pass through your system. I don't miss

food, I still eat. I just do not eat as much. It was hard learning

how to re-eat te first 3 to 4 months after surgery. This surgery is

not the easy way out. It is hard to learn how to re-eat and change

old habits. What this surgery did for me, it gave me the jump start I

eeded to lose the weight. If I had to do it all over again I would.

monts for all the tests and to get it set up.about 6 month maybe. i

have been trying to learn asmuch about this surgery as possible.did

you do any research online before your sergery? you are lookin

good.when did you have it done?i have as several people on line if it

was very painful right afterwards and how long do you stay in the

hospital. i am glad that you posted pics of the cuts as i was

wondering about that.do you miss food. im 55 an iv alwas been a big

eater so it will be very hard on me im afraid. hope you will write
