Guest guest
Can anyone help us get rid of the smell from the helmet? It used to be contained within the helmet and could only smell it when it was off, however, now we can smell it when he is wearing it. Thank you Keegan STARband, 8/11/
Guest guest
We use 91% alcohol to clean the inside - when it's dry I sprinkle a little J & J freshness release powder. It seems to help. Also, keep your babys head clean too - wash every night and leave the shampoo on their heads until you are done w/ the bath. I usually wash Luli's hair 1st and let it sit there while she plays and rinse it off last. HTH!! JEN Mommy to 4...and 1 more!!!! Guest guest
Hi ~ We have all been in this place and it "Stinks!!" Try Suave Shampoo for kids. I found blueberry blitz to work the best and the mango does ok too. I have found putting the helmet back on when the hair is slightly damp and letting it finish drying with the hemet on really helps with the odor. Good Luck! Guest guest
Once a week we will put it outside on a sunny day. Rotating every 15 minutes to get the sunlight on the " dirty " spots. The whole processs takes about an hour. The sun naturally lightens the spots and removes most of the odor. We are also diligent with cleaning with lots of alcholol 2x a day... Using a toothbrush and paper towels. I also shampoo his head each morning. It has been 9 weeks and the inside lof his DOC Band looks pretty good. Good luck!
