Guest guest
My baby has a large head (95th-100 percentile); however, his dad has a big head too and my son's head is proportionate to the rest of his body (90+ percentile). I agree with ...there is such a range of when babies do things that it is just a matter of wait and see. Constipation...prunes, pears, apples (but not applesauce), beans...hope that helps. My son doesn't seem to be delayed in any way. 8.5 month old son, DOC bandchristineashok <christineashok@...> wrote: In response to 's comment - my baby has a giant head, wore a helmet for 5 mo, and was on time or early for everything. she's 95% for height/weight & her head is even bigger. There are lots of people that think big babies walk late,... but I think for the most part it is that there is such a wide range of when babies do things it is just a matter of wait and see.our cranio-facial specialist said children with bigs heads are more prone to plagio and brachy - this part I believe, but may just because my big headed baby had brachy.take care-christinemom to sydney/ 14 mo/ starband grad 10-06>> I asked our cranio- specialist the same question and he said there really hasn't been any significant delays due to plagio. He said any slight difference that he's seen is the same as when a baby has a bigger head. I guess carrying around the helmet is like having a big(ger) head and may slow things down a bit but not enough to worry about anything. About the constipation- have you tried pears and having the baby hang out in an exersaucer while trying to push out a bowel movement? The position of the exersaucer seems to assist with that.> > Good luck-> , mom to 7 months Starband 1/15/07> > > ---------------------------------> Finding fabulous fares is fun.> Let FareChase search your favorite travel sites to find flight and hotel bargains.> Don't pick lemons.
