I'm glad, though, that the EMG didn't find anything more serious to deal with. Did they tell you why the nerve is pinched? Is it from swelling? Hope you get some rest. Those tests can be exhausting! I know it sounds like a lot to endure, but just think that this will take away some of the pain that you have been having. At least this is something they can fix, hopefully. Guest guest Posted November 3, 2004 Report Share Posted November 3, 2004 Donna, I am happy that I finally know where some of the pain is coming from, but was hoping it was the herniated disc. It is unbelievable that every time I go to the doctors, I have something new wrong. Last time it was the disc in my neck along with the artritis. That was only a month ago. It is so stressful and I am sure you know what I mean! Just venting I guess, because I cannot sleep and I am exhausted! Also forgot to tell everyone today that I spoke to my neurologist about getting the flu shot and he said it was up to me, but many of his patients with chronic pain get very sick after getting the injection! I have opted not to get it!!!! All I need is to be sick again!! Well take care and I really hope that you are feeling a little better today! LOL and Best Wishes!! I have opted not to get it!!!! All I need is to be sick again!! Dawn, My doctor didn't say that, but he didn't push the issue when I declined. I had to when I worked out in field and I always got some symptoms of the flu low grade fever. basically a slight case of the flu. So I decided I didn't to get one. Guest guest Posted November 4, 2004 Report Share Posted November 4, 2004 Lin, I think one of the reasons he was pretty clear about the flu shot was that the meds I take for MS give you symptoms of the flu.So I think the shot can make everything a lot worse! I do not want to go through that. I even get very sick with a slight fever! I am having extreme back pain and can barely walk!!! I think it is from sitting in the car for so long yesterday.
