versapulse settings

hello,

i am new to this group. i have facial redness. over a year ago it

was very severe as diagnosed by my dermatologist. since that time i

have had 2 pulsed dye laser treatments, both successful but with too

much down time. in addition, i have had 5 versapulse treatments. i

have a question regarding the settings for versapulse.

there has definitely been success with the versapulse. the np who

does my face has used different settings each time, with varied

success. on my last treatment she used a 15 ms setting, saying it

targets more of the surface vessels. she said that she started with

a higher ms setting to target the deeper vessels and is now going for

the surface vessels. am i wrong or is this backwards? shouldn't you

start with the surface and work towards the deeper vessels?

also, is versapulse successful at targeting those deeper vessels? i

have had 7 total treatments now (2 pulsed dye, 5 versapulse)with

great results, but like i said i had a severe case. my face still

flushes red and still has natural redness to it, much reduced from

its original state, however. after this many treatments i would

think the surface vessels are gone and i need to have my deeper

vessels targeted.

will somebody please help me understand how versapulse works at

targeting surface and deeper vessels and how they should be ideally

targeted with versapulse (which vessels to start with, settings to be

used). I would greatly appreciate any advice and/or help on this.

Thank You very much.

Joe
