Guest guest
Aren't shoulders just the pits!? Seven years ago , I would said that mine were the strongest best joints I have!! I'm so sorry that you all are having such problems. I know that there aren't a lot of options. I'm at that point too and keeping my fingers crossed. I know a PT here , who has EDS who had the cadeaver tendon wrapped around her shoulder. She has a doctorate in PT and teaches at the medical college here so she really really researched this . She's very conservative. So far, she is loving it!! Said that the recovery was definately worse but the result was great and worth it. Sara has started PT for her shoulder rehab in her college town. Turns out he is a shoulder and hypermobility specialist who lectures at the university and to medical professionals!! He took pictures of Sara's elbows, wrists and fingers to use in his class!! She and I had multiple joint pictures taken at NIH years ago. Guess we need to start looking in medical journals for our photographs! I have always HATED to have my picture taken but this didn't bother me... must be something about pictures of my face!! haa haa Everyone have a good day! Guest guest
, Well I am in the same boat that you are in and have had all the surgeries - none of the worked at all - not even for a measurable period of time. All that I have left is a fusion and since that is just too huge a step in terms of mobility, I just can't do it. I've had a shoulder out for three years now and I'd rather have it out then fused and useless. This is me though, my experiences are not the general rule and it would be good if you found a surgeon who would be at least willing to talk to you on their level and let you be involved in the decision-making process.
