Guest guest
I have questions about splenda. How good is it for Diabetics and how man use it? I've used it myself, off and on, eventhough I'm not a Diabetic (for new members, my g/f who is a member here has Diabetes). Should I stalk up on it for when my g/f and I are actually together? --------------------------------- Yahoo! Autos. Looking for a sweet ride? Get pricing, reviews, & more on new and used cars. Guest guest
I use either Splenda or Stevia. Splenda is derived from sugar with the use of chemicals, so there are some concerned about it, but at least it isn't all chemical. I don't get the aftertaste that I get with aspartame or Sweet and Low. I guess with anything you use there is some kind of problem that " may " come up, but we have to make a choice on what we think will be the safest to use. I don't get aftertaste either with it. D HURLEY wrote: I use either Splenda or Stevia. Guest guest
Hi , Your girlfriend is a very lucky girl. Personally, I use Splenda for cooking etc. when I need a sweetener, and I look for products sweetened with Splenda rather than sugar. I frankly cant tolerate the taste of aspertame, I think it tastes like metal. However, having said that - I have a cup of tea each morning with 1tsp of sugar in it, it just does not taste the same with splenda. Splenda aparently has half the calories of sugar. a Splenda I have questions about splenda. How good is it for Diabetics and how man use it? Guest guest
Hi Donna, Stevia can be purchased at health food stores and of course, all over the internet. There are many brands, and each of them have a bit different taste (some more aftertaste than others) - there is both powdered and liquid form. The liquid form is actually supposed to help with lowering blood sugars in some people. Here are just a couple of sites that have stevia but you can find it on most vitamin sales sites and in your local health food stores. http://www.theherbsplace.com/stevia.html http://www.steviasmart.com/stevitastevia.html http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/nsearch?follow-pro=1 & vwcatalog=iherb & catal\ og=iherb & query=Stevia Sandy Re: Splenda Where can Stevia be bought? Guest guest
HI , I'm the lucky one. I've never felt closer or love for anyone in my life like I do for . With aspartame, is it found in regular sugars? So a Diabetic don't necessarily need to cut out all regular sugars our of your diet, depending on how bad the Diabetes is?
