I decorated Logan's band with the " clesr-backed " stickers each week,

no mod podge, and they lasted great! All the stickers I used were

Sandylion brand, except the teddy bears, they were ProvoCraft. The

letter were Susy Ratto Brush letters by Stickopotamus. The clear

ones aren't permanent, unlike the paper backed which I understand

leave quite a mess. I purchased all of them through

simplystickers.com, and stickersgalore.com. If you'd like some

ideas, I'd be happy to e-mail you some pics of " our bands. " O sort

of miss it already!

We didn't need to paint so I can't be of help there.

We used several different kinds of stickers

Vellum stickers - they worked/stayed on the best

Clear - meaning, you can see thru theparts that aren't printed stayed on by the pic rubbed off sometimes.

Regular stickers - peeled and wore off easily - and the alcohol that might get on it - so we bought alot of them and replace them as needed

HTH!

How do you get stickers to stay on the helmet? Clear Nail Polish?

Then how do you remove them?? I just put stickers on the helmet for

the first time today and now I am freaking out that they will peel off

when he turns over in the middle of the night and that he'll eat one

in the morning and choke. I'm probably being ridiculous, I know...I

am thinking about taking them all off, but they are cute and

definitely make the helmet less medical. I checked them all real good

before I put him to bed and they seemed to be attached well except for

a few edges that are lifting, but I am sure this will get worse

daily. Any ideas??

P.S. I just bought scrapbooking stickers online...don't know what

kind they are.

I went to the scrapbook store and found rub-on transfer decals. They are awesome, and seem to stay put really well. They scratch off a little bit, but at least when they do, they aren't a choking hazard. Hope this helps! Jill Mom to Truman - 9 mos. We did use a foam type amterial that we cut into our own shape and used spray glue to stick it ot the helmet. It worked well. It wasn;t too thick and was spongey so it moved ans she rolled around on her band. If you want to see a pic look here.
