I was under the impression you couldn't really remove the band. *http://tinyurl.com/yl3ka9 W 380/289/160 *
Guest guest
Hi . Interesting article! I had my band removed 10 yrs ago after having it on 1 year and losing 160# because I had persistant vomiting. Finally had to have IV liquids because I couldnt keep any fluid down either. But it came off very nicely. Having the band is an issue when you want bypass surgery though..one of the docs told me the band sometimes imbeds into the stomach tissue after time...and in 's ( presently in Hermosillo) case, it was into the liver which " drapes " over the stomach..he said the issue with a bypass was needing good healthy tissue on the stomach to attach an end of the small intestine to, and the tissue underneath the band has sometimes been destroyed. Actually a lot of people have their band removed due to persistant vomiting. I didnt know that until after I had it removed! The doc removing my band said I would gain all my weight back very quickly...I told him no I wouldnt...and he said 100% of his patients had. It will be interesting to see what happens to Sharon Osborne. D. Woodard wrote: Not to start a celebrity bashing thread; but I just wondered what everyone thought of this? Guest guest
, I have gained almost all of it back - my pre lap-band wt was 307, my present weight is 298. I gained very very quickly the first few months. I'm having a lap RNY in a little more than 2 weeks. Wang wrote: , since you've had the band removed, have you gained any weight? Re: Hmmmm.... Hi .
