,

I am always watching for updates from you. I am so happy that you

have such a good peri but very sad that this pregnancy has been so

difficult. Hang in there and try to ignore the people who make

comments. Until people have been where you are now, they just won't

understand. Also I think for some weird reason pregnant women in

general are targets for horror stories. I know I sure heard enough of

them. The best cure for their comments will be to show them your

healthy daughter. I am feeling better. I went back to work today but

am taking tomorrow off because walking still makes that one incision

that was infected feel like it is pulling apart. Hang in there!

Roxie,

Thank you! Can you take any frugs to dull the pain? Will they make you sleep at work? Ha, ha. That would make the day move quickly! What day are you going back?

Gosh, . You sure are experiencing everything in this

pregnancy. Contractions already?! But, as always, you sound

positive which I believe helps not just psychologically but

physically as well. Hang in there!

Hi . I agree-a peri. is very important and they make sure they

cover 'all of the bases' to avoid potential problems. I also had

pre-term labor/contractions at 26 weeks. I just thought I had a

backache and was told to come in(to the hospital). Sure

enough...labor. I also tested positive on the fetal-fibronectin test

(tells if a protein is being produced which occurs about 2 weeks

prior to delivery). Was on terbutaline from then on until 36

weeks. Hopefully you wont have to take it. You have to take it

every 4 hours(usually), therefore; waking during the night. It also

makes you quite restless and raises your heart rate--which makes

bedrest a bitch. BUT...it does do the trick! I could tell when I'd

be late on one pill--I'd feel lots of abdominal tightening. Your

in good hands--they'll keep a close eye on your cervix from here on

in. Best of luck to you!!

Cheryl,

Thank you! I am on the monitor twice daily. If I need terb, it will be from a pump. My doctor almost never uses pills unless you are already to 35 weeks. I hope I pass the fetal fibronectin test. I have it on Tuesday. I could not take it last week, because I already had the tv u/s. I am glad to hear if I fail the test, that there is hope! Ijust hpope I can avoind mag. He said he always does tred first. I had one of his ex labor and delivery nurses at my house, and she explained all this.

Thanks again Cheryl! Always nice to hear people who made it to the other side!
