Guest guest
The hospital where I am having surgery has bariatric equipment. Unfortunately, that hospital is 3 hours from my house. I'm having most of the pre-op tests at home. I was very impressed with the facilities where I am having surgery. I never thought about it until I had my upper GI Friday, but I bet this is why the local surgeons won't operate on people if you're over 400. Still sucks, but I guess at least I have found a facility that will! The doctor's office had chairs that I fit in both in the waiting room and the examining rooms, plus the table I had to get up on in the examining room was very roomy. I was extremely impressed because the only place I had ever been that actually accommodated larger folks besides Carolina Weight Loss Surgery was my local sleep center. It's nice to be able to not have to worry about breaking the furniture for a change! Tonya

Guest guest
I definitely understand where you are coming from with the furniture. The only complaint I had in my process was the heart cath lab at Lexington Medical Center where the chairs were almost too small to fit my large butt into, but everything else including the chairs at the surgeon's office were and are wonderful and can fit my wide bottom, even though it shrinking more and more every day.
