Guest guest
Lyn, I too have had RSD spread from the initial injury to my right foot to going up my right leg, into my upper thigh area, my right hip, and now lower back. It has been in my hip and thigh area for almost 3yrs. It has now started to spread in my Left foot and lower Left leg. I think it started about 2yrs ago but I am just now feeling a lot of the pain. Before I only had some burning. I havent had ANY surgeries or procedures that I believe caused it to be in my hip, buttock area but did injure my lower right back and it has spread to there now too. I cant sit on my right hip at all. I cant wear the jeans I used to because they hurt so badly on my hip area. I am always leaning to the left and use my Lidocaine patches there and heat. It has affected the way I walk with my cane even more. I cant seem to be comfortable sitting, walking, or standing anywhere. If you ever want to ask me anything, please send me an email to Justifieddestiny1@.... I would be more than happy to discuss this with you. Hoping for a less painful day Love, Rhonda

Even though there seems to be no solution it gives me some sense of being " normal " to not be the " only one " with these symptoms. If you have any suggestions for dealing with this I'm all ears. I admire you and the others who have children to raise on top of this challenge. It is just me and my life mate at this time. My only son is grown and lives with his family in WA. My parents and sister live in the SF Bay area of CA. It takes a special kind of person to handle watching a loved one in so much constant pain and not be able to " fix " it. My dear man doesn't know what this is like over the long haul. I do, unfortunately. If anyone has any personal experiences that they would like to share with me concerning how to help the spouse handle this groundless place I'll appreciate it. Lin has shared with me and given me some insight. I appreciate this very much. So if anyone feels moved to write to me I'll be very happy to hear from you at my lynlorraine@yahoo mail or on this board. Also I'd like everyone to know that because I continue to have to stop in the middle of reading the posts and replies I believe I have missed answering some of your heartfelt responses. Please know that I appreciate every single one and hope to have a system that I can depend on to keep up to date. Maybe my brain is just not at top functioning because it seems too hard to concentrate lately. Thank you all for listening and may you have some joy today, Lyn
Guest guest
Lyn, Do not know if I have spoken to you or introduced myself yet, but just wanted to say hello to you and wish you all the best. I have RSD in my right knee, but also have a herniated disc in my low back and neck. (also arthritis in same areas!) On Feb.15 of this year was hospitalized with optic neuritis which resulted in being diagnosed with MS. I have been having some type of relapse or maybe even the flu this past week and was not really able to talk to many as not feeling well at all! I just wanted to say hello and welcome you to this awsome group which I am sure you know by now! Take Care and know that I will always wish you well. LOL and Wishing you the Best! Guest guest
Hello Dawn, Thank you for the kind welcome. It is good to get to know everyone and what you and each person is dealing with. I am amazed at the immediate connection I feel from all of you. I has made the difference between being in complete despair over this recurrence to seeing a group of strong, loving people carrying on ins spite of the heavy load. I am feeling overloaded by the many decisions I must make to adapt and also consider what I am going to do to treat the symptoms. From what I am reading this is a challenge for all of us. Hope this is a good day for you. I am just now catching up on reading the posts since Monday. Hope to be caught up by tomorrow.
