Guest guest
Last night as we was coming home from trick or treating, some kids thought it was cute to put a No Passing Sign out in the middle of the road...... Well, we didn't see it, and Gene hit it with my car! My front passenger side hubcab hit and went rolling off my car and down the road, the post bent both my front and back rims on the passenger side......I was holding Petey on my lap, and luckily he didn't hit the dash, but I ended up twisting my whole body to protect him, which now I'm in a major flare up over today from......and thankfully the girls was in the back seat sitting down for once..... I'm scared to death to look at my car......cause I know that there is more damage on the passenger side than what Gene thinks there is. He could only look with a little flashlight last night.....he had to try and pound the rim back with a hammer to help it keep it's seal so that the tire wouldn't blow up on us. All I know is that I smelled burning rubber when he hit the brakes......and, I know that it messed up my car bad enough that I doubt if it makes it thru the month of November without breaking down leaving me stranded somewhere with the kids! ugh.....when it rains, it pours......and I have a feeling that it's going to REALLY POUR here! Guest guest
Tonia, I am so happy that you and your family are okay, well somewhat okay. My youngest daughter was working in Portland at the office where I used to work. Anyway she was coming home (her home) and this guy starts pulling into the inside lane which was where she was anyway she swerved and hit the gravel that was left over from last winter, lost contol of her car and starting spinning around, a car did hit her, but praise the Lord neither her or the other person were seriously hurt. She did say her back and neck hurt, and they think her car maybe totaled, they will find out more today or tomorrow. Ronnie sounded pretty shook up when he called me to tell me what happened. Of course the first words out of my mouth are is she okay. Once a mother always a mother. I hope your care isn't totaled and I am thankful that nobody was hurt. -- Re: my poor car.... Guest guest
Tonia, Feel so bad about the car! I know what that is like, the guy that just changed my oil about two weeks ago did not do a good job and put the plug back right. When I got to my Moms she saw all the oil on her driveway and all the oil leaked out of my car. I was so afraid to drive in fear that I would blow up the engine that I made them come and get it, and did not have my car for another two days. Had to change the oil pan and that cost $200 on top of the $35 I had just given him! Thank goodness Mom helped out again and gave him $100 for me. I did not expect that, but it was very nice of her!!! I hope all works out for you and you have no real damage done. Take Care and LOL!
