Guest guest
Hi , It sounds like you're making the right decision! The experience of the ortho is the key - not necessarily the brand itself. We wound up wearing a bad fitting STARband for a few months (since there was no CT nearby) and I WISH I could go back and do it all over again. We now fly to LA every three weeks for our DOCband (we started at 12 months, so his growth was slower, hence less frequent appointments). One tip - when we picked up the band we did it on a Friday and stayed over the weekend for a fitting on Tuesday (they don't see patients on Monday at our location). That saved us a flight since they wanted a week 'break in' time before the first adjustment, but were willing to allow for only 4-5 days instead. Hopefully at 6 months you only have to go every two weeks. Good luck! Sheila, mom to , 18 months, DOCband > Wow, !
