Is there any way to use your computer to make free long distance calls? I had

heard of some new technology coming out (can't remember what it is called - it

was on the Today show recently - this company thought subscribing to his

company's phone service would be a major competition to U.S. residential

carriers). I thought htere was some way to do this - I had heard of this awhile

ago. Something you coulddo yourself or a website to go through. Anyone? Maybe

it's just my imagination...Hope not - I have a few people I'd love to call!

Thx

Joyce

Joyce,

Yes, it is possible and has been available for awhile now. I received a

web-to-phone call from a friend about 4 years ago. It is only now starting

to become widely available and is increasing in popularity. There was a

story on our local TV news about it recently. I have no experience using

it, but this site has information on the various programs available.
