Guest guest
Dear , There is a big difference between just a murmur and a Mitral valve prolapse. I too have a murmur but it is a 'functional' murmur and not related to MVP. Mitral Valve Prolapse only affects 5 percent of the population. The tech that did my echo told me that I have a little bit of 'regurge' and said that is fairly common. So unless you definitely know that you have an MVP I wouldn't be taking antibiotics unnecessarily. Contrary to popular belief antibiotics ARE drugs and your body can get an immunity to them. Ask your PCP to explain the difference. Ask him/her if it is necessary to be premedicated before dental work. I don't have my degree-----yet!...LOL Love, _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freelane.excite.com/freeisp
