Guest guest
HI Group! I would like to welcome all the new members. This is an awesome Group! They have helped me so much for the past few years. I feel bad guys that I don't post that much. But, I do read ALL posts everyday, so I know all of you sooo well. Love you guys! Lyn, (the new member that said she had fractured her left ankle) I too fractured my left ankle, and leg in 2000. I have not had any blocks or anything except medications. I use a Lidoderm patch on the left side of leg where the leg was fractured and that helps alot with the burning pain, enabling me to sleep. But this past week I have noticed in the posts that many have the same problem I have with the heal of my foot. If I could sleep with leg in the air all the time, that would be great! But impossible! LOL I have tried all the pillow stuff and I find that the only way I can fall asleep is to lay on stomach and hang feet and leg over edge of bed. But lately I have found that the burning sensation has gone up to almost my knee and it is not that confortable anymore. I am looking for a Doctor that knows RSD in this area but have only found an anestesioligest (sp?) pain mangement doctor and haven't been to him in 2 years. I guess I should get off my butt and start looking for RELIEF soon! I take Zoloft, Vicaden twice a day and 2 Clonizapam at bedtime. I have 3 lower ruptured discs in back and 1 in my neck and have had shoulder and knee surgery also. I read all the post and feel so bad that so many suffer so much more then I and I pray for all and I pray for a cure SOON!!! I mean to post everyday but by the time I read all, I am exhausted! I lie on my heating pad alot. Well, this is turning into a novel and enough about ME!!! Sorry!!! I love all you guys and I will try to post more often. God Bless you all! A big Gentle hug to the Group ((((((((((Group))))))))))) and Welcome (((Newbies!!! ))) Praying for the CURE , nannyshere, aka, Janet M

Guest guest
Hello Janet, Oh, I had a bad time with my heel, too. Nothing worked except to constantly rearranging my position. The drug trazadone helped me sleep for several years. Hope you find some relief and a doctor to help you. - Lyn > > > Lyn, (the > new member that said she had fractured her left ankle) I too > fractured my left ankle, and leg in 2000. Guest guest
Hello Lyn and Janet, do not know if wrote to you yet Janet or not, know this is first time Lyn that have message to you and sorry, but by time done with my usual novels you both may be begging for me to not write again!!!! Anyway point being here is the heel and finding way to get comfortable. My right foot is one injured and to get comfortable always have to have heel off mattress. So I put my lower leg over left leg, usually have part of bedding under right leg to give a cushion or pillow. It is the best I can do. If anyone has better ideas sure like to know them. I just cannot stand heal touching bed yet can handle for short time wearing shoe. Mostly wear Birkenstock sandals with socks though when cold. Well that is all, take care. And glad to have you both here as even though not best of reasons, know you will still enjoy those on the digest and find great friendships and being part of a large, mixed up family. Sort of like a can of all sorts of nuts....just pick the nuts you enjoy most!!! Hugs JoAnn s Momma Re: New Members & All > > > Hello Janet, > > Oh, I had a bad time with my heel, too.
