Guest guest
Hey guys, I had my second photoderm treatment on Saturday. As you recall I was concerned that the first one was not deep enough and that the numbing cream was constricting my blood vessels. On Saturday, I checked into the office adiministator. She took me back and again put the numbing cream on. This is all before I see the doctor. This time I had a large cup of hot coffee with me. After she put the cream all over my face, I randomly checked the mirror, drank my coffee, and waited for the doctor. The coffee was definitely making me warm. Normally, I would be a tomato, but the darn cream was constricting my blood vessels. I became concerned once again, because I only have one more " scheduled and paid for " treatment after this one. For a total of 3. (I will pay for more if I need them, but have not discussed this yet with him). When the doctor came to see how I was doing with the numbing cream, I told him I am alot more red when I come here..I KNOW this cream is constricting my blood vessels. He said, well yes, it may be constricting some, but this cream is less constricting than the others. OK. I kept drinking my coffee. I stepped in to have the procedure. He wiped my face with alcohol, he said to wake up my face. I only hope it did. He said he would be using the 550 filter again, but is going to increase the " joules? " from 30 to 34. I believe that is the correct number. I asked him if that was going to be enough, would I need any touch-ups with a laser later or anything? He said he thinks my vessels are all superficial so he was sticking with 550/570 and probably would not need to do laser. He did a full pass over my face at 550 - 34. Then, he did the top of my left hand (I have some weird vascular damage there as well) with the 570. When he finished my hand, he decided to do another pass on my face (just my cheeks). I was happy because I feel like I need a stronger setting. I THINK he did the second pass of my cheeks at 570. I am pretty sure about that. I was finished after the second pass on my cheeks. I looked in the mirror and I just looked like I had a severe flush on my cheeks. The rest of my face looked untouched.. I think the numbing cream was still constricting my blood vessels. Today I feel fine (as I did after treatment #1). I am hoping that over the next few weeks I will be able to tell a difference. On my final visit (June 23), I plan to make sure the doctor sees me before the numbing cream is put on....and I may even request no cream. It hurts a bit with the numbing cream on..so it might be unbearable without it?!! I will post my last treatment results in 3 weeks. Take Care everyone.
