Guest guest
Hi all, I am writing to inquire if anyone has had, or knows of someone with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome who has dealt with the problem of producing excessive amounts of mucus. This child's symptoms are similar to asthma. A mucous biopsy revealed nothing. No infections, no allergies. The child has a hard time breathing in and out, and all breathing tests showed normal breathing capacity. The child takes adult doses of Advair - 500, 2 times a day and combivent, 2 times a days with minimal results. If anyone can help please post me at rrogers@... It doesn't matter where you live.....anywhere on this planet! Thanks, Joyce
Guest guest
I make excessive amounts of mucus at times for NO known reason. I am classified as an allergic asthmatic (and am unsure why) as well as an Atopic person wiht so many allegies. I take asthma and allergy medications (Ventolin, Oxis, Pulmicort, Polaramine, Beconase hayfever nasal spray etc etc). I have NEVER had any piopsy tests or anythign and no one has ever said it was anything unusual but I do know it is more than normal. Has the child been tested for Cystic Fibrosis and other related disorders??? as these can cause excessive mucus. I am more worried about not having enouigh as my Mum had Sjogren's Disease an auto-immune disease of the mucus membranes that halt mucus production (including tears). I know this isn't much help but if you like you or they can email me at shazzinoz @ hotmail.com. Guest guest
Does the child live in a home where the parent(s) smoke? Or is this a recent onset sort of issue? Jill
