Guest guest
Barb, I will and can do that if I have to, But I was just thinking that going to the press or TV might get the word out about EDS and make it easier to find a Dr willing to take us on. So how do you interview a Dr.? In person, on the phone? Do you expect them to already know about EDS or just willing to learn? Do you ask them straight out if they are willing to go the extra mile to write all the referrals and papers needed, and make the necessary phone calls, and if they are willing to fight the insurance? Or do I just tell them I have a child with EDS are they willing to take him on? And leave it that? I need a Dr that will go the extra mile. Cindy C. Re: Question. Why not? I have done so each time I have had to find a new doctor.
Guest guest
You need to make sure that Dylan likes this new doctor as well and that Dylan even has some trust or rapore (sp?) with this new doctor, so that he can talk to the doctor himself. I would talk to them on the phone first and if you like the sound etc of them then make an appointment and you and Dylan go and interview these docotrs in person (watch and see if this doctor actually LISTENS to your son when he is talking).
