I recently " discovered " a traditional Jewish prayer to be said first thing in the morning upon opening one's eyes. It's the " modeh ani " , and the rough translation is " Thank you, God, for breathing my soul back into my body; great is Your faithfulness. " I've been saying this prayer most mornings, and it's amazing how much it has changed my attitude - a great way to start the day. (I actually learned it off a CD, as I prefer to sing my prayers.) My diabetes medications at this time are Metformin, Amaryl and Avandia. Thank you again for the positive input.
