Guest guest Posted January 16, 2007 Report Share Posted January 16, 2007 , if waiting on the insurance authorization is going to compromise the amount of correction your child can get with the band, then you really need to think about how you want to approach it. If you do go ahead with it before ins pays, you might be able to appeal. make sure you know whether or not they will deny it because it wasn't preauth'ed before you go ahead. But if they WILL deny it for that reason, then you need to think about whether you want to wait if it's going to take a long time for approval, especially at your child's age.
