Guest guest
Several of you told me that you liked the progressive lenses. I got my new glasses today and I was just wondering how long it took you to get use to them. I have 60 days to decide if I want to stay with the progressive or go back with the lines. I'm hoping I can get used to these and not have to go back. hugs Eunice

Hi Carol, Thanks for the information. I thought it would probably take a week or so. Hmm, just made an adjustment to my monitor and that makes a difference. I'll learn how to adjust to these glasses. I can see the TV much better than I could with the old glasses, but I don't watch TV very often. I listen to the music channels more than watching movies, programs, etc. hugs Eunice

Guest guest
My glasses are progressive, and I love them to death. They don't get 'near as dark as sunglasses, at least not on the inside, but it does take the glare out. You don't really notice the glasses changing. After being outside for about ten to twenty minutes, if you look to the edge of you glasses, you can compare how dark your glasses are to the real light. At times, people can't even see your eyes when they're dark. They make two kinds, light and I believe the other is medium. get the darker of the two. It doesn't get too dark except when you're out on a sunny day for a while and then go into a dark room. Even then, though, it only takes a couple of minutes to regulate back to normal. Like I said, I think they're great. Night Spirit wrote: ERWachter@... wrote: >> Several of you told me that you liked the progressive lenses. Guest guest
Hi Eunice - I have had progressives for a number of years. It was a little difficult getting used to them but now I have no problems at all. Easier than bifocals which I had previously. Hang in there. Carole in Las Vegas Question about glasses Several of you told me that you liked the progressive lenses. I got my new glasses today and I was just wondering how long it took you to get use to them. Guest guest
Eunice, it may take a little longer than you expect. The first time I got trifocals, 3 years ago, I was warned by everyone about how hard it was to get used to them. Well, took me an afternoon and by that night they were fine. So when I went in for new glasses around Thanksgiving, didn't expect any trouble. He even lowered the prescription in one eye. Well, it took me a good three weeks before I stopped getting dizzy, kept tripping on things, going down stairs was terrible. I was just about to make an appt. to go back, screaming how they were so crazy, when all of a sudden one day, I noticed it was all gone. Good that I'm so terrible about calling for drs. appt. Still can't figure out why these acted so nutsy right out of the door, when I got used to the previous ones so fast. Elise
