Guest guest
Hi everyone, my name is Prewer (patricia) I am having surgery 05/01 and I am beginning to get a little scared. I thought I had worked out all the insecurities but since kristin, they have all come back. I know that this surgery is the only way that I will ever lose this weight, I have tried everything else. I have been praying and thinking about all the positive results of the surgery, but I still can't help but think of kristin. I am 46 years old a mother and wife and have a full life,, but would love to get up in the morning and not hurt all day long. My legs and back are beginning to give out on me and I hurt all the time. This is the main reason for the surgery. I want to feel better. I want to look better also, but the medical outweighs the comestic. I find myself crying while I am riding down the road and I really don't know why, sometimes I wonder if I am ready mentally for this surgery. I think I am, or I was. Somebody have any imput to my delima mgb 05-01-2000

And after Kritin died I certainly did have second thoughts. But that has passed for me. Like you, I can't stand getting up because my feet, knees, ankles, etc. hurt all the time. Guest guest
hey allison, i think you are just normal. after all this is major surgery. i have been all weepy and emotional (scheduled for the 3rd), particularly about my children. my baby will be one on may 4 and will be with my mother that day.( the week of may 1 was the only time i could work it out) . my almost four year old is old enough to realize i am going on a trip. i went ahead and bought my baby's and oldest child's birthday gifts, even though i am not going to give them to them until i come back and we celebrate with a big birthday party . i stuck them back and told my husband where they were and just busted out crying- telling him they were there in case anything happened to me, i wanted their birthday gifts to have been bought by me. i felt a lot better after a big cry! i really think we are just having normal jitters. email me if you like and we'll talk. i will be thinking about you and praying for you. bergin@... getting scared > Hi everyone, > my name is Prewer (patricia) I am having surgery 05/01 and I > am beginning to get a little scared. Guest guest
, I don't know that I have any input other than to say I know how you feel. I've not even sent in my paperwork yet because of being afraid. I know that I want this surgery and I know that I need it. My children are grown, my son still lives at home so I think that most of my fear is not for myself but the thoughts of leaving my husband, my children and grandchildren. I am going to do this I have to. I don't have to many physical problems right now (borderline diabetic, B/P a little high) but I know at my age (44) that it is going to get worse and I might leave my family that way soooooo if it has to happen I want it to be knowing that I was trying to help myself, to have a better life and to be a better everything for my family!!!!! A Little Scared, but wanting to be on the other side, Cathy in Lenoir, NC
