Hi Tony,

My intentions are to purchase a pedometer, but I just keep forgetting about

it. What kind did you buy. I want one that I can put on in the morning and

it will stop as I stop and start again when I start walking.

My diabetes nurse gave me one of these from Denver Health. Unfortunately, after

about a week it now records about 1/4 to 1/3 my steps if I am lucky. The other

night I wore it at work and shopping. After going fully around the stores

(large) 3 times and back and forth in one 4 or 5, then home, it showed just over

400 steps. When I walked almost a mile from where I was having my truck worked

on and back it came up with just over 700 steps and I had been around a large

Walmart before that. Actually, it is the one that has worked the longest,

though. The others I got wouldn't work at all.

Does anyone know if you have to replace batteries in these fairly often?

Hi Eunice, sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I use the Omron

Premium Pedometer, it's excellent, I don't even have to wear it, just

keep it in my pocket. I've actually had it about six months now and

I've never felt it wasn't accurate. You can find it by searching

Amazon, it costs about $25.

Thanks again for this great list, I've learned more here in a few

weeks than I had in the previous year from my doc.
