Guest guest
This is a question in regards to stool color. For the past 2 months my stool has been light in appearance and is never the normal color. I was wondering if this is a sign or symptom of a possible acute episode. Last wednesday I was hospitlalized for an acute episode and ever since the abdominal pain hasn't stopped. Also, can certain cases of cp not be treatable. During the episode I encountere last wednesday I lost 6lbs after the vomiting. As everyone knows ivs are the standard procedure, but when in the hospital it took 1hour and 30 minutes before the hooked me up to an iv. I also would like to know what the longest time anyone here as gone without an acute flare up. God bless all of you and thank you for the support. Cp is difficult dealing with alone especially among many people who just don't understand.

Are you taking enzyme supplements and if so, for how long? The question about acute attacks is going to give you too many varying answers to be of much help, I think. For example, I have gone 8 1/2 months between acute attacks, right now it has been 4 months since my last acute attack. After reading everyone else's posts, you will see those numbers vary greatly....so I don't think you will be able to reach a definitive answer. Hope this helps. When I have had vomiting episodes, the treatment has always included IV rehydration at the hospital. After all, taking anything by mouth might exacerbate the nausea. I've gone as long as a full year without a flare up. But ther is no rhyme or reason to this horror. It varies from person to person and the frequency can change within each of us. -E
