I forgot to mention that I received a beautiful photo frame made especially

for me. It has old pieces of jewelry glued all around the frame. What a

wonderful gift.

Anyone having old jewelry that you don't know what to do with, this would

make a wonderful memory gift for someone special.

I am so excited. and I went today to get the bookcase/shelves that I

wanted to go next to our stove. We have been to this furniture store twice

prior to going today. The first time we were there, I saw a dining room table

that I fell in love with. We were there on Thursday and they still had " my "

table. It had one small scratch on the edge of the table, therefore it had

been reduced. Last night, we decided that we would get the table today if it

was still there. It was, and it is being delivered on Monday. Now, I have

to save money to get the chairs I want. I've got old ones we can use, but

since I have a new table, I want new chairs. They also have a coffee table

that I'm hoping to get for my birthday.

When we got this house, we did not get the best of furniture because we did

not want overload debt. So now, that the house is paid for, I want to do

some remodeling and get new furniture, but I know everything cannot be done at

one time. As with diabetes, I take it one day at a time.

Who'd-a thought dining room chairs would be so costly!!!

Hi Debi,

The chairs are going to cost twice as much as the table. Oh well, the good

Lord's willing, I'll get them someday.

We have lived in this house for over 16 yrs. I think it is time I started

doing some remodeling. Well, we did remodel our bathroom and that took us

almost a year.

I am thankful for everything I have and I will not go in debt to buy new

furniture or to do any remodeling.

Our kitchen table and chairs were given to me by a friend. This friend is

in her 80's and the table belonged to her mother in law and the chairs

belonged to her mom. I'll keep these for a long time. I love them.

hugs

Eunice

Eunice, your story reminds me of my friend's mom. She would buy a

necklace she liked but wouldn't have anything to wear with it. So then

she'd by a shirt, then pants, then shoes, etc. Lol.

I feel your furniture woes. I have my grandmother's old dining room

table that I love, but it's falling apart and we're down to 3 chairs.

Who'd-a thought dining room chairs would be so costly!!!
