Guest guest
He was banded from 5 to 7 months, but that is not age corrected, so maybe he would be like a younger baby. He just got band two at 10 months. He rolled around 9 months and has been sleeping on his stomach for maybe 3 weeks now. Some parents and doctors are definitely comfortable encouraging stomach sleeping. But since he was not that strong (low tone in the trunk), our doctors just did not think we could take that SIDS risk. So we just had to wait him out and watch his little head get flatter. The regression was very gradual. I think that our PT started really pushing us to have him reassessed because she could see it by June. Even without looking at the exit cast, the ped could see it immediately when we took him in. It was less dramatic to us since we see him everyday, but we knew it was changing shapes. I am not an expert, but by 11 months and already rolling I just think that you would be in a much better situation than our son. The neurosurgeon told us that the closer they get to a year the harder their heads are and we should be well out of the woods this time around. > > > > > > I thought I might as well re-introduce myself.
