He was not terribly early--34 weeker. But we seem to have had a

perfect storm--soft head, motor delay, great back sleeper, tort,

etc. I don't thing just one of those factors would be enough to make

a head regress.

We are really, really bummed on the one hand. But, besides his head

and the tort, he has no other preemie issues, so we also know that

we could have lots more complicated things to deal with, too.

If you have the option, an exit cast can set your mind at ease. We

were certainly glad to have ours.

Hi Stacey,

sorry you had to go through this, but thanks for posting. our daughter

has been in a band for 2 months and is 7 months old. the doc told us

he wants her to stay in the band until she's at least 9 mo so that her

head is " hard enough " so she doesn't regress. this gives me another

data point that his advice is probably good. i just hope her band fits

her for 2 more months so we don't need a 2nd. She still needs a lot of

corrections for her brachy.

I hope it goes quickly this time and glad to hear he ajusted well.

take care,

-christine
