Guest guest
I love to spin too much... LOL... it takes over my " world " . I got some new roving for the holidays from a friend (from sheep she raises) and I cant wait to spin it up. I may just have to get out my drop spindle to just see how it spins up. Hers is always GREAT! They are Navajo Churro sheep, and most people think of them as " rug wool " but hers have a much finer fleece and arent as scratchy as some Romney wool I have felt. Gee... get me going and I wont stop... LOL My mom quilts... I havent quite figured it out yet, though I think that now I have the mat, I can try some small patchwork quilts. Since those are my favorites. I have a 100 year old quilt that is hand done, one inch octogons!! There are a few holes in it, but I can still throw it in the washing machine and use it if I wanted. I dont, it's in storage right now, and then will be hung up when I get my new house.... I LOVE to sew... and made Pj's for my daughter for xmas... she loves them. I know of a place that I can get wool batting for a quilt for fairly cheap, or I could get some cheap... Where do you find your wool for spinning??? I know of some GREAT places...
