Guest guest
I got lots of new stuff that I can use. and a few things I will NEVER use! My mother in law gave me a set of bath stuff that I will NEVER use, I make my own, and cannot deal with strong scents at all! Even in my cleaning supplies. I can only use a few kinds, and none of the " mainstream " types of cleaners. One of my favorite gifts is a new broom from my mom... LOL and she got me a rotary cutter and mat for sewing. I also got a Jane Hopping The pioneer Lady's Country Christmas recipe and story book!!! I LOVE things like this!!! Hubby didnt get me anything this year, as he figured that I could better pick out something for my spinning wheel, or from the fabric store that I would like better =) Last year I got cast iron pans! a WHOLE set!!! I about peed my pants when I saw them! I use them almost daily. Well, I just got baby to bed... in his OWN bed!!! I figured out that he was just cold in there alone, and hooked up a heating pad UNDER his matress so that he has some warmth... there is no other way to keep the little guy warm. our house has a constant breeze blowing through. no matter where... Angelia in OR who needs to go to bed...
Guest guest
Angelia, we must be long-lost sisters! I love to spin, and just today we were at Cracker Barrel & I was showing hubby the iron cookware collection. I told him I would love any of the iron items, lol! I also like pioneer stuff. I was crocheting my eldest a scarf she's been wanting and we were talking about how the pioneers had to make all their blankets themselves, no going to Walmart. I also told her I read that Southern belles were expected to have made a number of quilts before marriage. Jess is 8, she was amazed that 8 yr old girls actually made quilts -- I've been trying to get her to quilt for a while, she's just not interested --- yet... <g> Debi
