Guest guest
Ok guys I've been experiencing this weird sensation now off and on for a few weeks now but the last 3-4 nights it has been more frequent....I find just as my body is either relaxing at night, like the relaxed feeling before sleep or as Im drifting off to sleep all of the muscles from my legs to my arms and sometimes even my chest muscles will twitch or even jerk and the sensation is much like that feeling you get when you dream of falling and it wakes you suddenly. What the heck is that and what can be done to make it stop IF anything!?!? Its driving me batty and I dread going to sleep at this point as I know its not just going to end with a single twitch but rather over and over until I finally fall into a sound sleep. Its not only irritating but makes my muscles ache terribly the next morning. any ideas, suggestions would be great. Thanks guys!!! Guest guest
Donna, wonder if it is like muscle spasms my sister got when she went to bed, and my brother gets it also. Seems when body goes to rest after being up the muscles just do not relax without going through process of releasing toxins or something like that, and takes time to get muscles to stop jerking. Know this is not a medically correct explanation that others will be able to give, but do believe I understand what your going through and am very sorry Donna. As have this from my Fibro where legs get so painful find I am kicking them up and down, stretching, and crying so much as pain so high. Just wanted to let you know not alone and even though can offer no medical help I hope you understand that I truly feel for you, and am so sorry the agony your going through. Let us know how you settle this situation, and if speak with doctor what he says about this? Pray it heals up fast so you can enjoy fall and lots of fun at Thanksgiving etc. Many gentle hugs Donna and just so thrilled about picture of you, Ginny and . What a treat for me and of course all on digest. This is what I am looking forward to this spring. Take good care my friend. How is your daughter doing? How about Hubby and rest of those staying with you? Your so often in my thoughts and prayers. Guest guest
I would like an answer to that also. The feeling is quite strange. Why is it that it only hits when we want to rest? If you find out the answer, could you let me know? Mine have been going on for about 1 month now. NO FUN!!!!! My name is Tammie and I am a single mother of a teenager. Can we say STRESS. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
I think most of us who have RSD have this in one way or another. When ever I'm relaxed it happens. Doesn't even matter if I'm going to sleep or not. It happened to me on the train one time, and it felt like I almost jumped out of my seat. It's like a bad muscle twitch. My doctor gave me Valium and that's seems to have helped it, the Valium has also helped with my hands shaking for no reason, and muscle cramps. Just one of the things we put up with when we have RSD.tammie barber wrote: I would like an answer to that also. The feeling is quite strange. Why is it that it only hits when we want to rest?
