has a stomach virus and fever...what to do about the helmet...HELP!

I tried my best to keep our toddler away from the baby as he had a

horrible virus throwing up and diarrhea, but as of this morning (Older

one is better after 7 days of it) but started throwing up and

diarrhea today. I gave him some tylenol as he felt warm and his temp

was 99.4 so I took the helmet off. But now I am worried and don't know

how long to leave it off. Of coarse it's after hours so I can't call

anywhere. I guess I could try CHOA number to see if someone is on

call, but I doubt a doctor would be on call for helmet use. Any

regular doctor will just say leave it off, but will it mess everything

up really bad. I am thinking one night shouldn't hurt till I can talk

to them, but what if his fever runs for a few days, then the helmet

won't work anymore and we will need a new one???
