Guest guest
Hi all, Just thought I would check in. My pain level up to an 8, I did sleep in the guest bedroom with Katelin. She didn't kick me or anything, she was so cute, I put on her sponge bob dvd and she would just reach over and pat me, I would say yes Katelin I am still awake, she would looked at me over and smile. Okay now back to my pain I set up the pillows and this angular one that Dwight thought it would work, it was a very long and painful night. The pillows just don't give me the support that I need, the pillows are okay on the couch, but for some reason they don't work on the bed. Anybody have any ideas? Otherwise I don't know if I will be able to ride along with Dwight and him Mom. Our plans are back to square one, I told my husband that he is going to take his Mom regardless of whether or not I will be able to or not. We are going to talk it over with my doctor. Well I guess I will try and catch up, Lin

Guest guest
Lin - No suggestions for you (to be honest trying to figure out what it is that you're needing help with? getting comfortable to sleep? travel? pain issues?). Still, I'm concerned and wisht that there was something that I could think of to help you out. I know how emotionally exhausting and discouraging it can be not not be able to get the pain level back down. Just hoping that you have a more comfortable night tonight. Guest guest
Lin, I know what you mean about the pillows. I sleep with my foot propped up also to take the swelling down plus my foot is too twisted up to just have it on the bed. I figured out a way that works with me. I'll tell you how and you can try it if you think it might work for you. I can't stand to have anything touch the back of my heel so what I've done is I take one firm pillow, and put it long ways across the bed. Then I take a soft pillow and put it up and down like, on top of the other one. That way, my foot is elevated and if I bend my knee slightly off the side, I can have my foot just bearly off of the edge of the top pillow. Or if I lay on my non-rsd side, I tuck my good foot under the bottom pillow and my rsd foot is still being elevated without the back of my heel touching the pillow. I don't know how well I just explained that, but that's how I do it and it works for me. Let me know if you try it and how it works for you. Sleep well. Faith Hi all, >Just thought I would check in. Guest guest
Well Faith just had to let you know I also cannot stand for my heel to have any weight on it. Hurts so much and just not sure how one handles keeping heel from laying on bed all night or during daytime. I keep thinking perhaps need some special foot/ankle doctor to see if perhaps there might be other injury to foot that the orthopedic doctors not found. So perhaps will go to doctor and not tell about rsd, block etc., just tell about first part of it and believed from first doctor might be rsd. Seems closest can get to being helped. Well take care all. Hope your foot feel better today Faith and anyone else in pain. Hugs JoAnn s Momma Re: My pain level Lin, I know what you mean about the pillows.
