I was certainly born before 1948 (1939) but I've never ridden in a

rumbleseat. I remember seeing them, though. Running boards I remember.

Smaller sedans of the 20's and 30's had rumble seats, but running boards

were used up to the 40's.

My wife and I left our wedding to go to the reception in a replica of a 1924

Ford with a rumble seat. We road outside all the way... What a wonderful day

that was! :)

BTW, I was born in 1947 but my dad talked about his cars from his youth all

the time!
