Guest guest
Hi, Our son is having his first IEP, and our school administrator is only offering one hour of speech therapy per week, and no educational placement at all. We thought we would have to argue for LRE, and a class with typically developing peers, but instead we now have to argue that he needs preschool to learn language. (He is three and has a cochlear implant. We do AVT and have been very successful so far.) Our administrator doesn't believe our son has enough delays to need preschool. Does anyone know of any research that would show the need for an educational placement for a preschooler? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Annette
