HI Lori, Sorry for all that you are going through. I totally understand about not being able to touch your foot because of the pain. My leg, where the RSD started due to an injury is UNTOUCHABLE! NOTHING has touched it in almost 5 years now. I always have to have it wrapped in ace wraps because even a slight breeze will set off the pain. All of my docs know do not touch!! the only way it is ever examined is if I am under anesthesia!!! The whole area has been grafted a few times but curiously the areas where they took the skin from (my upper thighs) are not sensitive at all. With meds and the SCS the "untouchable zone" has gotten a little smaller but still remains exquisitely sensitive. My lower leg is missing quite a bit of what God gave me. When people ask me what happened I say "Shark Bite!!!" living in FL I think people actually might believe it! LOL! I just was so tired of the whole story so that is my generic answer!! LOL!
