Just a few ideas to share. Our School District has no TOD and no

audiology either. Start by contacting your local hospitals, in

audiology and specifically ask about " outreach " for school

services. Many of them have this available, and if you can't get

the school to cooperate, many private insurances will pay for this.

Also, any of the local (in the same state)schools for the deaf or

oral schools, etc. may also have outreach or mainstream support

services.

Much research can be done on the computer. I started out by putting

in my county and the word audiology. Also maybe the word pediatric

if your results are too great. Once you start to get results, call

and tell your story and ask your questions. If you get on the

trail, you will find the right help, if you sit back and let the

school handle it, probably nothing will happen until your daughter

fails.

Good luck. I know it is learning a complete new language, but you

have struck gold and found the cliff notes to understanding and

coping with hearing loss.
