Guest guest
I ordered the splenda off the internet and have used it in my tea and for cooking. I did not dump off of it but then I don't dump off regular sugar either. I really didn't like the taste of it but thats just my opinion. Guest guest
I have it and I ordered it from the Splenda site. My husband likes it and seems to do well with it. It gave me an upset stomach. I think some people can use it and others cannot??? in Missouri
Guest guest
Splenda is sugar that has been altered by one molecule so that it can't be digested by the body. It looks, tastes and cooks like ordinary sugar and has virtually no calories (the calories it does have are from what is added to it to give it the granular consistency of regular sugar. It works out to about 2 calories a teaspoon, I think.) Now, my question is, is anyone who usually gets dumping syndrome from sugar willing to be a guinea pig and see if this stuff is as good as it sounds? (Or does anybody have any experience with it already)? See: http://www.splenda.com for more info
Guest guest
, I use Splenda in my tea and on my cereal. If I use regular sugar, I get queasy and nauseous, so I guess I do get 'dumping syndrome' at this point. I have never eaten enough to get really sick, but do have to lay down for a while till the nausea passes. I ordered Splenda and have had NO problem with it. It takes fine to me and has virtually no calories. Another good aspect of Splenda is that (unlike other artificial sweeteners) it maintains its sweetness at both high and low temperatures so you can cook or bake with it measure for measure. Hope this helps Shari Post Op Lap RNY 3/14/00 SPLENDA Sugar - Anybody know about this? I haven't tried it and I just believed what they said about it tastes the same as real sugar. I was hoping, just hoping!
