You can tell him he might find things through it too. Plus anything you'd like to get rid of, can be posed there.

So far, I haven't used one, but I'm going to have to start because my crutches are starting to kill me when I shop. And I haven't been grocery shopping by myself in over two years. I can't push the cart and operate my crutches at the same time. The same with going to Walmart. I haven't been there by myself either. It really sucks always having to have help. I'm hoping that if I use one of those carts, that maybe I can go by myself. That would be sooo nice. I miss being able to walk and do things on my own. I hate always having to have help with just about everything. (I'm whining again, ignore me. lol) Faith

You guys are lucky to be able to use those carts. I can't use them because >when I go shopping, I have to have one of the regular carts because the >electric carts have too small of a basket on them. So far, I've been lucky enough that I can use my cane until I walk into where the carts are at, and then put my cane into the cart and use the cart for leverage to help me walk.....but, here lately, I've been in enough pain with both knee's that its gettign where walking at all hurts too bad.

I'm in a flare up right now where both legs, hips and lower back are all hurting bad enough that walking is almost impossible and I pulled some muscles in my ribs on the left side just from carrying Petey, so, the spasms from that has made sleeping difficult even with my sleeping meds.

So, I haven't been out of the house to even do anything the past 2 weeks......

Just cooped up within the 4 walls unless I take Gene to the Field and follow him back and forth between the fields and the Grain Elevator or back home with the tractor and wagons at 11pm because there are no lights on the wagons and it's illegal unless someone is following them with their flashing lights on the vehicle.

(ok, now I'M whining! It just gets to me being stuck in the house constantly!)

Tonia,

Hang in there Harvest season will end soon. And a little time to rest. Try and breathe in the fresh air when your out and take those few moments of peace to refresh yourself. I know being around 4 walls is maddening. Like mine close in on me. I swear they move. lol

You take care sweetie.

It really sucks always having to have help. I'm hoping that if I use one of those carts, that maybe I can go by myself. That would be sooo nice. I miss being able to walk and do things on my own. I hate always having to have help with just about everything. (I'm whining again, ignore me. lol) Faith

Faith,

I am sure that is not being whining, in fact I am sure that there are a lot of people that have the same sense of loss when they can no longer go where they want to without having someone to take them.

Have a good evening,

So, I haven't been out of the house to even do anything the past 2 weeks......

Tonia,

Not being able to get out of the house for 2 weeks, would get us all a little down, stir crazy, or just plain cranky.

I hope that you will be able to go and do something different and hopefully uplifting.

So how long does it take for Gene to harvest the fields you have?

I hope that your knees get to feeling better.

take care,

Re the hating to have to help with things DITTO. My turn to add to the whine. It especially is provoking when you can't even pull off transportation to the doctor's. This is just too much sometimes. I usually as so emotionally good at keeping things in proportion but even that has been a struggle lately. I don't know, folks. Barbara wrote:

Tonia, I understand completely about being stuck at home! My car broke, and I mean 'broke', the passenger side front axle and lower ball joint broke as I was pulling out of my driveway on Labor Day, and it took 3 weeks until I could get it fixed! That really stunk to have a car in my driveway and not be able to use it! Sorry to hear that you're in so much pain right now. How are you handling taking care of Petey right now with bruised ribs? I hope that you have someone there to help you right now. Otherwise, I can only imagine how much 'fun' that you're having right now. You try to rest as much as you possibly can right now, Tonia. I know that's hard to do with a hubby and 3 kids to take care of, but try anyway. Ok? Very soft, gentle hugs to you, (don't want to hurt ya) Faith

Tonia, If you don't mind my asking, why are you losing your food stamps and medicaid? You can e-mail me privately at faithb69@... if you want to. I know sometimes there are things we don't want to post through the group. I sure hope you can find a way to at least get your meds. My prayers are with you. Faith

Next month though is going to be harder.....we lost both the Food stamps and >the Medicaid Rock, jazz, country, soul more. Find the music you love on MSN Music!
