Best A1c since was ~5.5 now low 6s. Besides Lantus insulin I use activity of my work (food pantry volunteer, shopper & board member) and 4 weekly water exercise classes (need low impact due to arthritis and chronic pain) to control bgs. I recognize names here from other diabetes lists; hiya cappie, kore, tedquick, and all. Now to my query. Endo prescribed Lisinopril blood pressure med to protect my kidneys (high bp has not been one of my problems, although I know the definitions of high are changing). Couldn't tolerate it; started getting the weird cough I was warned about; for me the incredible fatigue was the nastiest problem with the stuff. My bgs were OK, but I was falling into bed desperately needing naps every day :-( After 4-5 days off Lisinopril I was back to normal energy levels. 50 mg Cozaar is now my endo's alternate choice, picking up prescription later today. Yep, I've looked at rxlist.com for some information. But hope that some list members here have actual experiences (pro or con) to share. Thanks.
