Hi :)

Yep, I have an email here from when I was away that I haven't got round to

replying to yet, am trying to attach some pics, failed miserably so far...hoping

for a nice long sit down here at some point today, all the hol washing is

finally done, life almost back to normal. Almost....

So Mon's the day is it - I take it the dep pills can't be split to reduce by

any less than 125 mgs at a time? We did a 50 mg reduction 2 days ago, is

on the 100 mg crushable pills, so we can either halve or quarter them when we

reduce. I'll prob go for 25 mgs next reduction and try and slow it down a bit,

not sure - we'll see how he copes with this one first.

He is now down to 400 mgs per day, (from 500 mgs a mth ago) his last trough

blood level showed him as being 'sub theraputic' but we can't really take too

much from that, as a 2000 mg infusion in PICU saw him as sub theraputic blood

wise too - everyone decided then and there that dep blood levels and were

not really much of a guide...

Will be in touch soon,

From: lts4307@...

we are doing a 125 drop of depakote on Monday, and are expecting withdrawls,

within 3 to 5 days-they can last up to two weeks-girding our loins since it will

bring Jackie down to 2 depakote, and up to 7 mls of felbatol in the am and 7 in

the pm. GOod luck-its an ugly-never managed to do that fast a wean without

serious ugly affects.

still lurking in the shadows

Mother of Jackie J!

PS: Hi susan -have you gotten my e-mail?
