Wind chills sometimes of 50 below. I loved it as a child but I soon learned to dislike it as an adult. Mind you I still like a little snow here and there but a little is my limit. We moved to Texas in 1981 right after a huge blizzard a year or two below. Shoveling snow and snuggling in the bed with my honey was fun at that age but not now. After 6 years of heat and drought I have to tell you I was honestly ready for a little cold and snow. We ended up in the Kansas City meto area so we get some cold, not like Indiana and some snow. LOL We lived north of the River close to Worlds of Fun for several years and then moved to Olathe about 8 years ago. Job (I hated driving the freeway) and our first grandchild convinced us to do it. U funny...lol..u just right down I 35 from me..lol l am also transplant to KC...mowed here in 1972.from Forth Worth..TX...lived there 2 yrs..before that all the way from Oslo.Norway...lol My kids now both married live North of the River...Gladstone area... so l go north a lot.. l live down town...where they have redone the neiberhoods...close to River Market... when l go shopping l go north all the time...both son & husband work at the Airport... l have been a Diabetic type 2 for 14 yrs...l am on Insulin now...done that the past 4 yrs..my husband also a Diabetic...we sure are a pair...lol Stay cool in this heat we having...promissed should be better today...HAH we will se... my daughter is picking me up later...to spend the day with her.. l had to quit driving...on top 2 heart surgeries...done at St.Lukes on the Plaza...l had a stroke last December on the Optic nerve..rendered me blind in the left eye...plus 40% less vision in the right one...l hated to give up my independence...
