Guest guest
I don't know if any of you would be able to answer or not, but I have a question about when problems caused by diabetes cause problems at work. Next week I have 3 days when I have to stand for 9 hours in one place counting stuff. My feet are in pretty bad shape from the neuropathy and the lack of support under the high arches. We are not allowed to sit down. I already asked about it. I was told we will have 2 15 minute breaks and an hour lunch break. If I cannot stand in one spot for the 9 hours, I will have no work and no pay, obviously. The only thing they will do to help me out is to allow the meals and snacks when I need them (that being not on schedule like I am supposed to, but if I seem to be getting low on sugar while I'm working). Is there anything I can do so that I won't lose my job because of the complications? This is the only thing I have been able to find for a job in 10 years.
