Guest guest
Dianne - I'm sure it was not October because I was not in school at the time, so it still had to be summer. We lost one of our dogs just days later and I know that was in the late summer. Sooooo - my parents were out in the hurricane also - they had taken our sick pet to the vet. My sister and I were teens, but boy it was scary being home alone - we put a " sheet " over our baby grand piano so that if the tree fell on the house it would not hurt the piano - well duh - the minds of kids don't always work in the smartest way Barb ----- Original Message ----- " 1954--Oct 15, Hurricane Hazel struck US and Canada and 348 people died. " I don't think this is the one I was thinking of. As exhilarated as I was by extreme weather as a child, I don't think I would have been out in my bathing suit in October. ;-D Hugs, Dianne
