Guest guest
>The blizzard in Mass lasted for days - they closed the Mass Pike and stopped all driving in the eastern part of the state for a week.< That's got to be the worst blizzard I've ever heard of. Were you in Mass during the hurricane in the '50s? We got only the tailend of it but it's the only one I remember hitting New England so hard. I think Mass got the worst of it. The city of Worcester comes to mind... Guest guest
Dianne - I lived in New York in the 50's - we had one terrible hurricane that I rememeber when I was in high school - we had a huge Maple tree in front of the house and the wind blew so hard that the tree roots actually lifted the cement sidewalk. Thought for sure that tree was coming down - but don't remember what year that was. Barb in NH ----- Original Message ----- That's got to be the worst blizzard I've ever heard of.
